ALBAWABA - A tall building collapsed immediately following an Israeli airstrike in central Beirut on Wednesday morning.

A video was posted on social media showing a multiple-storey building collapsing after a strike by the Israeli army.

According to Lebanese media, Israel struck central Beirut early Wednesday morning without warning, killing at least six people.

In addition, Lebanon's Civil Defense released a statement announcing the injury of 11 members from the Nabatieh Regional Center amid continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

The statement reads, "Eleven members of the Civil Defense from the Nabatieh Regional Center were injured to varying degrees as a result of an air raid launched by the Israeli enemy targeting a building located about twenty meters away from the Nabatieh Regional Center of the General Directorate of Civil Defense."

The Civil Defense continued, "The force of the explosion resulted in direct injuries to eleven personnel present at the center, necessitating their transfer to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their injuries were described as varied. The attack also caused significant damage to the center and its vehicles."

Israel launched attacks on Lebanon on March 2 when pro-Iran Hezbollah carried out rockets towards Tel Aviv in response to U.S.-Israeli strikes that killed Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
