ALBAWABA - The Houthi group's media outlets, Ansar Allah, said that the U.S.-British coalition began a series of airstrikes on two places in Yemen's capital, Sana'a, early Tuesday.

Ten airstrikes were directed against the "May 22 Complex" in the Thawra neighborhood, while two more hit the Al-Urthi complex, which Ansar Allah had earlier said was deserted.

Mohammed Al-Atab, Al Jazeera's reporter in Sana'a, noted the Al-Urthi site's repeated targeting in previous operations and observed large smoke plumes coming from the targeted sites.

The assaults were confirmed by the U.S. Central Command, which described them as operations targeting weapons storage facilities and a Houthi command and control center. The facilities were connected to assaults on U.S. commercial and navy vessels, the statement said. Drones utilized for operations over the Red Sea, an advanced radar facility, and seven cruise missiles were among the assets destroyed.

The attacks were part of larger attempts by the U.S. to reduce the Houthi group's capacity to jeopardize maritime lines and destabilize partners in the area.

Mohammed Abdul Salam, a spokesperson for the Houthis, responded by denouncing the bombings as "a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty" and charging the United States of "openly supporting Israel." Accusing Western nations of not doing more to stop Israel's continuous attack on the enclave, Abdul Salam said that Yemen is still dedicated to protecting itself and supporting Gaza.

Abdul Salam's assertions that the Yemeni resistance will continue on its activities until the siege on Gaza is removed and Israeli strikes stop were emphasized by Al Jazeera.

The Houthis said earlier in the day that they had fired ballistic missiles at a power plant south of Jerusalem and Ben Gurion Airport, which is close to Tel Aviv. Additionally, they claimed responsibility for attacks on the USS Harry S. Truman, a U.S. aircraft carrier, in retribution for what they said was continuous aggression against Yemen.

According to Al Jazeera, the Houthis promised to keep up the attacks until they ceased and presented their activities as part of their "fifth phase of support" for Gaza.

Houthi assaults on Israeli targets have increased in recent weeks, leading Israel to launch retaliatory airstrikes, including one that hit Sana’a and Hodeidah a few days ago. As reported by Al Jazeera, the war has attracted worldwide attention, with regional dynamics becoming more closely linked to the Gaza issue.
