The U.N. has decided to launch a probe into Israel’s current Gaza offensive, AFP reports. The U.N. Human Rights Council is backing efforts by the Palestinians to examine Israeli policy.
The 46 member council backed a Palestinian drafted resolution. The European countries abstained, while the U.S. voted against it.
Israel’s latest offensive against Gaza has left over 650 Palestinians dead and over 4,000 injured. Thirty-one Israelis have died.
