The UAE stock markets have recovered on Sunday as the Dubai Financial Market went up 6.46 per cent, say about 61 points higher to end the session at 1,011.65 points.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Market followed with a 2.6 per cent increase to close at 4,975.84 points compared to 4,849.83 points when trade opened.
The sectors on the DFM were all positive. The Investment boomed by 10.12 per cent. The Banking was up by 4.67 per cent. The Insurance was up by 1.94 per cent. Services enjoyed a 8.24 per cent. All in all, 11,412 were reported in a hectic trade volume of 146,601,605 shares.
The sectors on the ADSM exhibited positive trend. The Industries index was the big gainer with a 4.38 per cent hike. The Insurance climbed 0.29 per cent. The Services rose by 1.56 per cent. The Banking increased 3.18 per cent. The Hotel index ended 0.06 per cent higher. 5,890 were reported with a trade volume of 88,792,762.
17 stocks advanced on the DFM. The biggest gainers were Arab Intl. Logistics which boosted by 11.20 per cent, SHUAA Capital advanced by 10.30 per cent, Commercial Bank of Dubai gained 9.64 per cent, Arab Tech. Construction was up by 9.52 per cent and Dubai Investments moved up 9.14 per cent.
The only loser on the DFM was National Bank of Dubai which fell by 1.56 per cent.
The top advancers on the ADSM were Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co. PJSC which gained 8.36 per cent, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank climbed 6.5 per cent, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company jumped 6.49 per cent, Dana Gas PJSC boosted by 6.39 per cent and Abu Dhabi Ship Building Co. was up by 6.32 per cent.
The laggards on the ADSM were Emirates Driving Company which crashed by 10 Finance House Real Estate lost 2.3 per cent. Al Khazna Insurance Co. lost 2.14 per cent and Etisalat downed by 0.56 per cent.
