The UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) said on Monday that it would soon start to rebuild the Palestinian houses that were bulldozed and flattened by the Israeli army troops last week, according to Khaleej Times.
Khalifa Nasir Al Suweidi, Chairman of the RCS, said that according to the instructions issued by the UAE President Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Society will soon send a delegation to assess the extent of the damages.
Suweidi said that the Society had also sent emergency funds to the Emirates Friends in Palestine, in order to purchase such items as tents and blankets for families whose houses have been destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces.
He said the project was in the framework of the Society's other reconstruction projects in Palestine, such as the rebuilding of houses in the Tel Al Sultan area and the construction of a hospital in Rafah. (Albawaba.com)
