The UAE Higher Colleges of Technology and IBM World Trade Corp. are planning several initiatives to enhance HCT's use of technology in teaching, reported the Gulf News on Thursday.
"The higher colleges make extensive use of instructional technologies in all of their more than 65 programs in engineering, technology and business. The Abu Dhabi Men's College has become the system leader in deploying laptop computers connected to the network through wireless technology," the college said.
HCT's acting vice-chancellor, Tayeb Kamali, said: "Through the vision of Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, the chancellor and minister of higher education and scientific research, the HCT has established a reputation for being on the leading-edge of technology and teaching methodology.
"This agreement with IBM World Trade Corp, the leader in instructional technologies and software, will help ensure that we will continue to stay on the frontier of advanced technological development," Kamali said – Albawaba.com
