A two-member team from Siberia's Argo TV are currently shooting a destination feature on Dubai for broadcast on the Siberian TV station, according to a statement issued by the government of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The programme, titled Voyage from Novosibirsk, is broadcast every Sunday at 10:30am to an audience of more than 3.5 million viewers.
“The Dubai feature will be aired as part of a very popular program that has been on air in Siberia for over seven years and is watched by a relaxed Sunday morning audience,” said DTCM official Hamad bin Mejren.
The department recently won a gold medal and a certificate of recognition at the Siberian Travel Fair Toursib 2001 earlier this year for being voted the second best winter outbound destination for the year 2000-2001.
The certificate was awarded following a poll in which as many as 89 travel trade firms operating across the seven administrative regions of Siberia participated. The Regional Information and Analytical Centre based in Novosibirisk conducted the survey – Albawaba.com
