Show organisers, Messe Frankfurt, are delighted with the response to the 2007 show, which promises to overtake the ground-breaking 2006 event. Intersec Manager Imke Cochran commented, “with Intersec bookings at the current rate, we can be assured that the 2007 show will be an even greater success than the phenomenal 2006 show, which attracted 14,543 visitors from within and around the region. The success of this show is credited to the importance of growing security awareness across the globe and the increased profile of the Middle East on the world stage.“
She explained that the show will incorporate four specialised segments, enabling visitors to access exhibitors and speakers most relevant to their area of specialist interest.
The segments include Commercial Security Middle East, Police and Homeland Security Middle East, Fire Middle East and Safety and Health Middle East. Reputable organisations including the Dubai Civil Defence and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) will support the fire and safety segments at Intersec 2007.
The 2007 show has already enjoyed a 36 percent growth on Intersec 2006, and industry representatives from 26 countries will be participating. Intersec is pleased to welcome large country pavilions from UK, Germany, USA, Italy, Scandinavia, Korea, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong as well as around 100 companies from the UAE.
