TNT Express, the world’s leading B2B express delivery company, has joined Foresight – the UAE based non-profit charity organisation - in its year end ‘Save Your Stamps’ fundraising drive to help raise awareness of blindness caused by hereditary eye disease.
The latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by TNT will see it assist Foresight in its collection of used stamps from the general public. The stamps which can be dropped off at TNT’s Sheikh Zayed Road walk-in-centre and Foresight’s office in Knowledge Village will then be shipped to the UK’s Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB), to be sold.
“As a global business, TNT strives to improve the social and environmental impact it has on the communities in which it operates, and the ‘Save Your Stamps’ campaign is an example of our on-going local CSR activity, “said Rodney Ellis, Commercial and Marketing Manager-Gulf, TNT Express.
The money raised from the sale of the stamps will be donated to the Sunshine House School, Northwood, England - a school for partially sighted, blind and multiple disability children providing high quality specialist education and care, enabling the children to achieve their full potential.
