Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has dismissed three of his cabinet ministers who have reached the mandatory retirement age, Radio Baghdad said Saturday.

The minister of labor and social affairs, General Saai Tohmi Abbas, and two ministers of state, Abdel Wahab Omar al-Atrouchi and Samal Majid Faraj, will step down when the decrees take effect Monday, it said.

They will be transferred to a special reserve department for retired government and military officials, created in 1997. The radio did not provide the age of the ministers, but the mandatory retirement age is 65. (Albawaba.com)
