A Syrian human rights organization has said late last week that two leaders of the banned Kurdish group Yakiti, which organized a sit-in outside the Syrian parliament in mid-December have been arrested in the capital of Damascus.
In a statement, the Syrian Committee for the Defense of Human Rights, said Marwan Osman and Hassan Saleh were arrested on December 15 at the interior ministry where they planned to meet with the minister, Ali Hammud.
It condemned the arrests and called for the immediate release of the two Kurdish leaders. (Albawaba.com)
