Assistant Secretary General of the Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party, Abdullah Al-Ahmar, and the Sudanese National Congress Party Secretary General, Ibrahim Ahmad Omar resumed talks in Damascus on Monday.

Later, Ahmar and Omar, in the presence of the two parties’ delegations, signed an Executive Action Program between the Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party and the National Congress Party concerning the activation of the 2000 signed agreement between the two sides, SANA reported.

The aforesaid program draws main steps and procedures to strengthen the existing brotherly relations between the two peoples and parties on the political, educational and social dimensions. In addition, the program contributes to activating popular work by developing the relations between the popular organizations in both countries to confront the Israeli aggressions and its Zionist projects, aimed at dominating the Arab capabilities and resources, SANA added.

Later Monday, the Sudanese delegation left Damascus following a several-day visit. The Sudanese delegation was seen off at the Damascus International Airport by several members of the National Leadership of the Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party and the Sudanese Ambassador to Damascus as well as the Embassy staff.
