ALBAWABA- Fierce battles between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) left at least three civilians dead and 14 others injured in the city of Bara, North Kordofan, according to the Sudan Doctors Network.
Field sources confirmed to al-Araby TV that the Sudanese army, backed by allied forces, has taken full control of Bara following intense fighting with the RSF.
The city holds major strategic significance as it lies on the vital road connecting El Obeid, the state capital, to several key hubs in the region.
Bara and its surrounding areas have witnessed repeated bouts of hit-and-run battles in recent months, with control shifting back and forth between the warring sides, reflecting the escalating conflict across Darfur and Kordofan states.
The developments come just days after the army’s Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi, toured North Kordofan, inspecting the military situation and visiting front-line positions.
