Sudanese and Egyptian presidents Omar al-Bashir and Hosni Mubarak on Wednesday emphasized the importance of working together to achieve a full Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories and to restore conditions for a pre-Israeli incursion of Palestinian towns as well as supporting the Palestinian people and its leadership.

Egyptian information minister Safwat al-Sharif told reporters following the leader’s talks that the two discussed the situation concerning the Middle East and Arab conditions as well.

He added that the two leaders stressed the significance of the joint Arab perception as well as the adoption of steps for the sake of activating the decisions of the recent tripartite summit held in Sharm el-Sheikh, according to KUNA.

In addition, he said that the two presidents reviewed cooperation in the economic area, pointing to the deputation of both countries' premiers on the importance of holding the joint supreme committee as well as activating all agreements in the economic and technical fields. Al-Bashir and his accompanying delegation left Cairo Wednesday following a short visit. (Albawaba.com)
