ALBAWABA - After a formal ceremony, officers from the Somali army, navy, and air force who had finished their training at the TURKSOM Military Training Base in Somalia began their responsibilities.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia presented diplomas to the officers who had successfully finished their demanding three-year training program at the Mogadishu ceremony.
President Mohamud thanked the officers for their commitment to Somalia's defense. In addition, he expressed gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Türkiye for their steadfast support, noting the important contributions Türkiye has made to the Somali Armed Forces.
The TURKSOM Military Training Base, which was established in 2017, has played a crucial role in preparing Somali military troops and enhancing the capabilities of the Somali Armed Forces.
