The Moroccan Foundation of Benevolence in the United States, in collaboration with local organizations in Casablanca and the Tarik Ibn Ziad Center in the city, has organized a socio-cultural week in Casablanca, featuring various cultural and social events such as conferences debates and sport events (football, boxing etc.).
Mustapha Fadil, president of the American Foundation (created in 1999, in New York) stressed that this is not the foundation's "first operation in Morocco". He said that the Foundation had already organized a number of events in the past, most recently in July and November 2004, and that it had already worked with the Moroccan Boxing Federation and the Tarik Ibn Ziad Center.
Yabiladi reports that during this week more than 800 pairs of glasses, boxing equipment and other items such as watches and shirts, were distributed to local children.
