Two Israelis were killed and one was lightly wounded in a shooting attack in the area of the West Bank city of Nablus early Thursday. In the Gaza Strip, an Israeli missile killed two civilians.

In Nablus, two Palestinians fired on a group of soldiers, killing two of them, Israeli sources said. The attackers were also killed when Israeli troops returned fire. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Fatah claimed responsibility for the attack.

Elsewhere, two residents of the south of Gaza City were killed by a missile fired from an Israeli helicopter just after midnight, Palestinian sources said. The missile apparently hit a car in which the two men were travelling.

The two were identified as Abed al-Karim and Mohammed Hassin, who worked as nurses. Doctors said the two men, in their 20s, were working at a nearby home for the aged.

The Israeli army said that one of its helicopters had fired "warning shots" in an open area in support of troops who raided the city.

On Thursday noon, Israeli policemen killed a Palestinian who stabbed an Israeli officer near Umm al Fahm. In the afternoon, a Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli soldiers near the West Bank town of Tulkarem. (Albawaba.com)
