A helicopter boarding American nationals was fired upon while taking off at Sanaa airport just north of the Yemeni capital on Sunday, a diplomatic source told KUNA.
According to the Western diplomatic source, the unknown gunmen opened fire at the plane of an American oil company. The plane was attacked while it was boarding American employees who work in the company.
One of the employees was wounded in the shooting, the source disclosed. Sanaa airport is located in a regional dominated by "Hashesh tribe," that has opposed a government plan to expand the air facility. (Albawaba.com)
