Saudi Trade Minister Due in Iran Monday

Saudi minister of trade Osama Faqih will head to Tehran on Monday to take part in meetings of the fourth session of the Saudi-Iranian committee in Tehran on Tuesday and Wednesday, said the official Saudi News Agency (SPA).  

 

The Saudi minister is accompanied by officials of the ministries of trade, interior, Islamic affairs, industry, electricity, social affairs, information, education, customs, civil aviation, King Fahd bin Abdelaziz city for Science and Technology, Saudi Arabian airlines in addition to Saudi businessmen.  

 

The committee held its first session in Riyadh in 1998, the second in Tehran in January 2000 and the third was held in Riyadh in January 2001 during which the businessmen council was formed in both countries. Trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Iran reached $132.8 million in 2000. (Albawaba.com)
