The Saudi Prince Sultan College of Tourism and Hotel Management will conduct this summer a number of activities and organize seminars at its headquarters in Abha city.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the dean of the college, Ali Bin Issa Al Oshbi, said that these activities will include a seminar on 'the economic impact of tourism with special applications to the kingdom.'

He noted that a number of experts from the kingdom, the United States, Egypt and Tunisia would participate in the seminar.

Al Oshbi said that these activities would also include a seminar on 'tourism and traffic' along with a number of sports events and educational programs.

Saudi Arabia has made plans to promote tourism as an additional source of income with focus on religious tourism.

The authorities have recently decided to allow visiting performers of umra, or minor pilgrimage, to tour all Saudi cities for a longer time. Previously, their visit to the holy lands was confined to Mecca, Medina and Jeddah – Albawaba.com
