ALBAWABA - Sami Al-Dahdouh, commander in the Al-Quds Brigades, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza, Palestinian sources told Al Jazeera.
The senior commander of the Al-Quds Brigades, nicknamed "Abu Ibrahim," was killed on Sunday afternoon, as a result of an assassination operation carried out by an Israeli plane that targeted a civilian car he was traveling in south of Gaza City.
Civil defense and ambulance crews rushed to the scene to retrieve the martyr's body and transport it to the Baptist Hospital.
Sami al-Dahdouh is one of the most prominent field commanders known for his prominent role in national and social work within the sector. His assassination comes amid an Israeli escalation targeting leading and influential figures, which portends widespread field reactions in the coming hours.
