Two of Saddam Hussein's daughters took refuge in Jordan on Thursday, while the Bush administration approved a $30 million payment to the tipster who led U.S. forces to the deposed Iraqi leader's two sons.
Raghad and Rana Saddam Hussein, whose father had their husbands killed in 1996, arrived in Jordan with their nine children Thursday, Jordanian Information Minister Nabil al-Sharif told The Associated Press. They were allowed into Jordan on King Abdullah II's orders.
"They are Arab women who have run out of all options," al-Sharif said. He refused to say where in Jordan the two women were.
Meanwhile in Washington, Secretary of State Colin Powell decided to award the unidentified tipster $15 million each for information that led US troops to Uday and Qusay Hussein's hideout in the northern city of Mosul. (Albawaba.com)
