South Korean Foreign Minister Han Seung Soo on Saturday invited Iranian President Mohammed Khatami to visit Seoul, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA.
Soo arrived in Tehran on Friday, coming from the Vatican.
He met with Khatami, Parliament Speaker Mehdi Karroubi, Chairman of the State Expediency Council Hashemi
Rafsanjani, as well as other top officials, said the agency, adding that the talks focused on ways to strengthen bilateral ties in the fields of economy and trade.
The visiting minister is due to arrive in Cairo Monday for similar talks – Albawaba.com
