ALBAWABA - A Russian military plane crashed over the Crimean Peninsula, leaving 29 people killed, the Defence Ministry announced on Wednesday.
According to the ministry, a Russian "An-26" military transport plane hit a cliff in Crimea, killing all people on board. The crash was likely due to a technical malfunction.
TASS news agency, quoting the ministry, revealed that authorities lost communication with the military plane at about 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) on Tuesday on a planned flight over Crimea.
According to a report, six crew members and 23 passengers on board were killed.
