Fateh armed units in the West Bank have trained special espionage units to follow the movements of Israeli VIPs - with a view to liquidating them, the daily "Yediot Aharonot" reported, quoted by The Jerusalem Post.
Israeli sources were quoted by the Hebrew paper as saying that the "liquidation units" consist of suicide bombers who are prepared to throw themselves at the vehicles of senior politicians or army personnel.
They have already begun following the movements of the Israeli leaders, according to the paper.
It is possible that the units are also armed with artillery that can shoot down a helicopter, the report said.
The units were reportedly set up after the Bethlehem Fateh leader, Hussein Ebayyat, was killed by a missile fired from an Israeli helicopter several weeks ago.
Israel has so far killed six Fateh leaders; the last of these was Dr Thabet Thabet, a health official at the PNA and Fateh leader in Tulkarem. His senior, Secretary of Fateh in the West Bank, Marwan Barghouthi, has threatened revenge. Israel has also assassinated a similar number of Hamas leaders – Albawaba.com
