Qatar’s Deputy Emir and heir apparent Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad al Thani received at his Emiri Diwan office on Tuesday William Burns, US assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al Thani, according to Qatar News Agency. In addition, it was attended by Abdullah Hussein Jaber, acting director of the European and American affairs department at the foreign ministry and Maureen Quinn, United States ambassador to Qatar.
In the course of the meeting, ways of strengthening relations of cooperation between the two friendly countries along with latest regional and international developments were discussed. (Albawaba.com)
