Qatari delegation to hold talks in India New Delhi, A high-level Qatari delegation will arrive in India today on a three-day visit for further strengthening the relations between the two countries.
The delegation, Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, will hold discussions with Indian government and business leaders on ways of boosting two-way bilateral investments between the two countries.
The talks will be a follow-up of the visit to India by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani in April this year.
They will seek to certine specific programmes and projects for cooperation identified during the Amir's visit, according to WAM.
The delegation will meet with Indian industry leaders here tomorrow under the auspices of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Other members of the Qatari delegation include officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Energy and Industry, and Defence.
Project proposals to be discussed at the meeting include a manufacturing unit in Qatar and a luxury hotel in Pearl Island. Other proposals are in areas such as tourism, information technology, healthcare, education, steel and energy.
