Russian President Vladimir Putin’s press office has issued a statement saying that the letter sent by Putin to Jordanian King Abdullah two days ago stated Russia's approach to the situation in the Mideast, reported Russia's Novosty news agency.
“Putin's message stresses Russia's intention to carry on its effort to overcome the current crisis and restore the Arab-Israeli peace process. Also, the president points out the importance of resolving the Iraqi deadlock by political and diplomatic means with the help of appropriate resolutions passed by the United Nations,” said the report.
The message was handed over to the king by deputy Yevgeny Primakov of the Russian State Duma, or the parliament's lower house, during a visit to Jordan on Sunday - Albawaba.com
