AFP reported on Thursday that "important progress" has been made in finalizing a deal between Iran and world powers concerning Tehran's nuclear program.

AFP quoted senior Iranian negotiator and deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi who said, "We have made important progress on the final text, but less so on the annexes, so work continues," as he arrived in Vienna to continue the negotiations on Thursday

US Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman will be leading the new round of talks after US Secretary of State John Kerry, who has been deeply involved in the negotiations from their outset, broke his leg in a cycling accident in the French Alps.
