Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been invited to this year's Arab summit in Jordan, on March 27, for the first time since the 1991 Gulf War.
The Iraqi News Agency said King Abdullah of Jordan's invitation was delivered by the kingdom's Deputy Prime Minister Awad Khulaifat.
The Iraqi president was not invited to the 1996 meeting, the first since the Gulf War.
