A member of the "Kurdish Parliament in Exile" and known opponent of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) was found hanged on Wednesday in Germany, reported the Turkish Daily News.
Rodi Demirkapi was found dead hanging from a tree in a park in Germany.
The paper said he was abducted from his house by three men the day the body was found.
Demirkapi reportedly fled Turkey in 1993 in order to organize PKK activities in Europe, but he later joined the "Kurdish Parliament in Exile" and harshly criticized the PKK.
His life had been constantly threatened by the PKK, said the paper.
The PKK’s leader, Abdullah Ocalan, was sentenced to death after he was abducted in Kenya by Turkish special forces in 1999.
He has appealed against his death penalty to the European court of human rights – Albawaba.com
