Philips recently introduced the Philips Aluminium Collection five top-of-the-line kitchen appliances that were created to add a stylish touch to any kitchen. The Collection brings together the beauty of anodised aluminium, the efficiency of advanced, easy-to-use technology and the satisfaction of perfect results to form a masterpiece combination offering ‘quality without compromise’.
Appearance increasingly important
The kitchen is taking on an increasingly central role in homes today: it tends to be integrated into living spaces and the focus of many social activities. That’s why the appearance of kitchen appliances is becoming so important. Stylish and eye-catching, aluminium has been adopted by interior designers across the world as the modern design material of choice. ‘We understand that people want appliances that are exquisite to display,’ says Tammo de Ligny of Philips Design. ‘Anodised aluminium not only gives a timeless beauty, it’s also completely hygienic, light yet strong, and resists scratches and finger marks. But beauty alone is not enough. These days, people also place great value on their time, so they want their appliances to be easy to use and to provide consistent, quality performance.’ With all this in mind, we designed the Philips Aluminium Collection.
The Collection
The five appliances all share sleek lines, a stylish finish and top quality.
• The powerful 1200W toaster, with blue count-down LCD display, has a versatile warming rack and extra-wide slot that can cope with any type of bread – from a croissant, roll or thick slice of toast to a bagel that needs toasting on one side only.
• The 1.5 litre kettle has an advanced anti-scale filter so the kettle stays clean longer, and the water you pour from it is pure and clear.
• The powerful 750W blender can blend almost anything, and thanks to the illuminated multi-speed dial and special buttons for ice crushing and mixing, you can blend to your preferred consistency – smooth and juicy, thick and creamy, or crunchy and icy.
• The 700W dual-speed juicer, with patented micro-mesh filter, squeezes all the juice out of fruit and vegetables, and the extra-wide feeding tube means you won’t have to peel, core or chop first.
• The Café Gourmet coffeemaker uses a unique brewing method to ensure you get the best flavour and aroma from your coffee.
