Palestinian PM, Ahmed Qurei, said on Tuesday that the current Israeli leadership is "not a leadership of peace." Speaking in Ramallah, he told reporters that the Israeli leadership still depends on "arrogance that does not make peace."

According to RNA, he urged the Israeli people not to believe their Defense Minister, Shaul Mofaz, who stated on Friday that it will be impossible to make peace with the current Palestinian generation.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Cabinet on Tuesday approved the operation of the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt by European Union observers, Haaretz daily reported.

According to the decision, the EU observers will enforce security procedures stipulated by Israel.
