A young Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli forces Tuesday during clashes in al-Arrub refugee camp north of Hebron, medics said.
Medical sources at al-Mizan hospital told Ma'an that 21-year-old Muhammad Imad Jawwabra was shot in the chest and arrived at the hospital in critical condition.
Doctors announced his death shortly afterwards.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said a "violent riot of 200 Palestinians" was taking place in the area.
She said a Palestinian "aimed an improvised weapon" at forces and that soldiers responded by shooting him, "confirming a hit."
The spokeswoman said the improvised weapon was a type of "pipe bomb" made from household materials.
Also Tuesday, Israeli troops shot and seriously injured a young Palestinian man near the southern West Bank town of Khursa, Israeli media reported.
The news site Ynet said an Israeli military ambulance took the Palestinian to an Israeli hospital.
Reshset Bet, another Israeli news site, reported that some 150 Palestinians had gathered near an intersection in Khursa and threw stones at Israeli settler vehicles.
A female settler sustained light injuries after stones hit her car, the report said.
Meanwhile, two Palestinian teens were injured during clashes in Beit Furik village east of Nablus.
Local sources told Ma'an that Israeli forces shot live fire, stun grenades, tear gas, and rubber bullets at protesters near Beit Furik school. The two injured Palestinians were identified as Ali Naji Haneni and Moaed Khataya, both 16.
Medics of the Palestinian Red Crescent told Ma'an that the two young men were taken to Rafeda hospital for treatment where their wounds were described as light to moderate.
Clashes also broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in the town of Tuqu near Bethlehem and in Beit Ummar in northern Hebron.
Muhammad Ayyad Awad, the spokesman of a local popular committee in Beit Ummar, said that Israeli forces fired tear gas, stun grenades, and live fire at protesters, causing injuries.
The violent clashes come on the 10th anniversary of the death of iconic Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, and a day after Palestinian stabbing attacks killed a soldier in Tel Aviv and a settler near Bethlehem.
