Orbit Communication Company announced that it had completed Phase 1 of the relocation project form Rome to Bahrain.
Phase 1 involved the relocation of 13 Orbit channels; Turner Classic Movies, MGM, BBC Prime, Sky News, Bloomberg, Pinoy Box Office, Pinoy Prime, Fashion TV and 5 TVMAX channels. All 13 channels will now be transmitted directly from Orbit’s state of the art Network Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Orbit Network Center Bahrain is located in the Ministry of Information compound and is currently going through major construction work in preparation for Phase 2 completion this fall.
Commenting on the relocation, Ghassan Itani, Chief Operating Officer said: “Substantial expansion of our subscriber base in the region has necessitated the move to the region. This relocation brings us closer to our subscribers and consolidates our operations and offices at the same time.”
