ALBAWABA - Two people have been killed, and one was seriously injured by debris from intercepted missiles, the emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) reported Monday.
Several explosions were reported in central Israel on Monday. This came shortly after the military reported detecting a new wave of missiles launched from Iran.
The Jerusalem Post said that Iran used cluster munitions, and at least six sites were struck.
Earlier reports revealed that one was killed and two others were injured in the aftermath of a missile interception. Later on, authorities said one of the wounded was later declared dead, raising the death toll to two.
Paramedics were "searching a number of scenes and treating two unconscious males in serious condition", the emergency service mentioned.
"Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat," the military said.
Israel's emergency services wrote on X, "Following a rocket barrage toward central Israel. MDA teams are scanning several scenes, and at this stage are providing medical treatment to 2 men in serious condition, unconscious."
It then said, "In another incident in the center of the country, Magen David Adom medics and paramedics are providing medical treatment and evacuating a man approximately 30 years old in serious condition with shrapnel injuries to Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer."
