The head of the Egyptian TV Production Sector, Medhat Zaki, has decided to produce a film on the life history of the Egyptian scientist, Dr. Ahmad Zuwail, who was awarded a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1999. The film will explore the various aspects of the scientist’s life including his upbringing, graduation from the university, and his researches in Europe and the United States.
Medhat Zaki said “the life history of the genius scientist deserves to be filmed so that he will be an example for the Egyptian and Arab youth. The selection process for a director and star for the film was already started. It is reported that either Noor Al Sharif or Ahmad Zaki will be nominated to play the scientist’s character in the film.
Noor Al Sharif told Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper that he has not yet seen the film screenplay because it is still under preparation. He added that it is a great honor for any artist to portray the character of the genius Egyptian scientist Dr. Zuwail—Albawaba.com
