The Bride Show Dubai 2006, the Middle East’s largest and most distinguished exhibition bringing together women, brides-to-be and their families, wedding day organisers and exhibitors from the wedding industry, will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from April 4 to 7, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammad Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Ladies Club and Wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Organised by the Institute for International Research (IIR), The Bride Show Dubai 2006 presents an opportunity for Emirati and expatriate women, prospective brides and their families to meet hundreds of suppliers showcasing everything from wedding gowns, international couture fashions, beauty and hair, wedding organisers, wedding venues, honeymoon destinations and more. The four-day event brings together a complete range of wedding services, beauty, fashion and homeware under a single roof.
“Over the years, the show has grown in significance and popularity, attracting a large number of women, looking to choose from a wide range of high quality items and services to make their wedding truly memorable. The UAE is one of the most affluent markets in the world, where weddings are a very important and extravagant occasion,” said Charlotte Proudman, Event Manager, The Bride Show Dubai 2006.
“The show draws women from the UAE, GCC states and the neighbouring countries who are interested in the latest in bridal costumes and evening wear, traditional and ethnic fashion, jewellery and accessories, beauty products, gifts and home furnishings. As in the previous years, The Bride Show Dubai 2006 will highlight the latest trends in the wedding industry,” she added. It is jointly endorsed by Dubai’s upscale mall, the BurJuman Centre; Dubai Ladies Club, traditional clothes retailer Abu Haleequ, Swarovski, Eternity Jewels, Lynx and Shattaf Jewellers.
“The Bride Show Dubai 2006, which has been running for the past eight years, also serves as an ideal platform for exhibitors to push consumer driven immediate sales directly from the stand, to meet face to face with their existing clients and customers, and to create public awareness for products and services,” added Proudman.
The bridal industry in the Middle East continues to grow at an unprecedented 20 per cent per annum. The consumer spending power in the region is the highest in the world, which has contributed to the success of The Bride Show Dubai over the years. Last year, the show attracted over 20,000 visitors. More than 23 fashion shows were organised during the event. In all, 202 exhibitors representing 12 countries took part in the show that generated total estimated sales leads of 22,826.
The products that will be available at the The Bride Show Dubai 2006 include bridal gowns and accessories, henna dresses, evening wear, groom’s wear, jewellery, beauty and hair services and products, and textiles. A host of wedding services such as hotels and venues, wedding organisers, sound, light and entertainment, photography and video production, floral and stage design, wedding stationery, gifts, catering services, financial services and home furnishings will also be exhibit at the show.
The Bride Show Dubai 2006 has also added the Ambiente Al Bayt Al Arabie (Ambiente Arabian Home) event to its portfolio which will showcase home interiors and gifts and provide shopping opportunities for wedding presents and homeware for the newly weds' first home. The only consumer home interiors show of its kind, Ambiente Al Bayt al Arabie will be targeting the Emirati market offering everything from interior design to objects d'art, giving the opportunity for affluent Arab women from the region to purchase and be inspired by the collections on show.
