A source from the Iraqi National Congress (INC) has confirmed that new images published on Wednesday of ousted Iraqi president Saddam Hussein were taken a short time after his capture.
In comments published Thursday, the source said the pictures were obtained from American forces that participated in the operation to seize the former Iraqi leader.
The source, who requested not to be named, assessed that the images were taken by one of the soldiers on December 13, 2003.
In the photographs, Saddam Hussein is seen handcuffed in his presidential palace, located in his ancestral hometown of Tikrit. (Albawaba.com)
