Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will start on Sunday a European tour that will take him to France, Germany and Italy for talks on ways to combat terrorism.
Mubrak will hold talks with his French counterpart, Jacque Chirac, said Al Ahram daily, adding that the latter will brief him on the outcome of his talks with US President George Bush in Washington.
For his part, the Egyptian leader will inform Chirac on his country’s efforts to fight the phenomena.
An official said that Mubarak’s visit “is very important” in the wake of the attacks on the US last Tuesday.
Other main topics on the agenda will be the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and bilateral ties, the paper said.
Similar talks will be held between Mubarak and German and Italian leaders, said the paper – Albawaba.com
