Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has endorsed the appointment of brigadier general A. H. Tamer as the naval force commandant succeeding Ahmed Saber Salim who has been appointed chairman of the Egyptian Shipping Company, according to the daily Al Ahram.
The new commander undertook several courses that qualified him for leadership posts in addition to a Masters degree in military sciences and fellowship of Naser’s Higher Military Academy.
