The Egyptian National Earthquake Network, cited by the official Saudi News Agency (SPA), said in a statement on Saturday that an earthquake registering roughly six on the Richter scale had rocked the northern part of the country. No loss of life or property have so far been reported.

The network said the earthquake’s epicenter was east of the island of Crete in the Mediterranean.
