Kuwait is cracking down on Internet cafes after government inspectors found out that some of them were providing not only cyber-sex, a newspaper reported earlier this week.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Communications has launched an inspection campaign of Internet cafes suspected of offering "immoral entertainment", Al-Rai Al-Aam daily reported.
Women and men as well as minors of both sexes were accessing pornographic material via Interent web sites in several cafes, which were also laying on "other non-Internet services," the newspaper added.
Moreover, inspectors even found a boy masturbating while watching a pornographic film on a computer in a closed cabin at an internet cafe situated in the capital's Salwa district late last week.
At one cafe, which was raided, the majority of the customers were minors who, for an additional amount of money, were shown by Asian female attendants how to open porn sites.
"Everything is allowed inside the closed cabins - masturbating, even requesting the attendant to give a live demonstration of some immoral scenes and even having sex," the daily said.
"It is electronic and non-electronic prostitution," it reported.
It should be noted that pornography is strictly banned in Kuwait. Kuwaiti police have since last year busted several organized rings involved in prostitution and trading sex slaves. (Albawaba.com)
