Kuwaiti national assembly speaker Jassem al-Khorafi on Sunday hailed the role played by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak towards various Arab causes.
Speaking to the correspondent of Sawt al-Arab radio Sunday, al-Khorafi said, "President Mubarak’s steps are always blessed and they pave the way for more understanding and rapprochement regarding inter-Arab ties.” He stressed that Mubarak is highly appreciated not only by the Egyptians but also by all Arabs for his morals and principles.
He stressed that the Arab league and its secretary general must not be shouldered more than what they can bear. Al-Khorafi stressed that any movement in the Iraqi file must take place within the framework of the international legitimacy. He expressed hope the Arab league secretary general would succeed in his endeavors in getting the two countries to reconciliation. (Albawaba.com)
