Jumeirah Beach Hotel, part of Dubai based luxury hospitality group Jumeirah, has won ‘Best Foreign Resort Hotel’ for the third time, at the 2005 Daily Telegraph Travel Awards in the UK.

The awards are held annually in London by prestigious UK national newspaper, The Daily Telegraph. The awards reception, held at the Royal Opera House in London on 3rd October, was well attended by senior representatives from the international travel and tourism industry.

Robert Kunkler, General Manager of Jumeirah Beach Hotel, attended the awards ceremony. He said: “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award for the third time, having won in 2002 and 2003 previously. Jumeirah Beach Hotel has many loyal, frequent guests from the UK and I would like to thank them for taking the time to vote for us.”

The awards were established seven years ago and have quickly become the pinnacle of tourism achievement in the UK. An outside independent consulting firm oversees the awards to ensure accuracy and strictly monitors the special questionnaire issued to readers of The Daily Telegraph, one of the most respected English-language newspapers in Europe.

The Daily Telegraph is one of Britain’s largest daily newspapers reaching over a million readers with The Sunday Telegraph being the UK’s second largest selling quality Sunday newspaper with a circulation of close to 800,000.

Since its opening in 1997, Jumeirah Beach Hotel has won numerous international travel & tourism awards. For the fifth consecutive year, the readers of Business Traveller UK voted Jumeirah Beach Hotel the ‘Best Resort Hotel in the World’ in 2005.  Also this year, the hotel won 'Best Overseas Hotel' in the 'Meetings' and Incentive' category from Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine UK.
Jumeirah properties are regarded as among the most luxurious and innovative in the world and have won numerous international travel and tourism awards. Jumeirah has also expanded internationally and manages the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London’s Belgravia.
