Jordan\'s FM Heads to Tunis for Bilateral, Regional Talks

Jordanian foreign minister Abdul-Ilah Khatib left Amman Wednesday for Tunis on a one-day official visit during which he will hold talks on bilateral, regional issues, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). 

Quoting sources at the foreign ministry, SPA said that the minister will focus in his talks with the Tunisian officials on political developments in the Middle East especially the Palestinian-Israeli stumbling peace process. 

SPA said, meanwhile, that Khatib will represent his country at the meetings of the follow up committee for the resolutions of the Arab summit conference that was held last week in Cairo. 

During the meeting, Arab foreign ministers announced their support for the Palestinians' rights in Jerusalem. 

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, meanwhile, left Gaza Wednesday for Tunis where he will hold talks with President Zein al-Abideen Bin Ali on the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to AFP -- (Several Sources)
