ALBAWABA - Jordan's Bridges Security Department of the Public Security Directorate announced on Saturday that the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby Crossing) will reopen to passenger traffic on Sunday, Sept. 21, following the shooting attack that killed two ‘Israeli’ soldiers.
According to Al Mamlaka, Jordan has reopened the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby Crossing) for passengers. However, cargo crossing will remain closed until further notice.
Moreover, the Palestinian Crossings and Borders Administration announced that the bridge will operate until 1:30 PM and that any changes to its hours will be announced.
On Thursday, Jordan announced the suspension of passenger traffic across the King Hussein Bridge after closing it on the other side following a shooting incident at the Allenby Bridge crossing.
Jordan condemned the shooting incident that occurred on the other side of the King Hussein Bridge (the Karameh crossing), considering it a violation of the law and a threat to Jordan's interests and its ability to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
