Jordan: Meeting of International Reconstruction Fund facility for Iraq and Donors Committee opens

Jordan's Prime Minister, Dr. Adnan Badran, reiterated kingdom's supportive stand toward Iraq to enable it to overcome the current stage and assist it to achieve economic, social and political stability.


According to <i>Petra</i>, Badran said in his opening speech at the fourth meeting of the International Reconstruction Fund facility for Iraq and the Donors Committee (IRFI) which launched at the King Hussein Center for Conferences at the Dead Sea area, that "terrorism, extremisms and violence and obstacles to the reconstruction process," are challenges that face building a unified and democratic Iraq that has its position on the international level and that is able to keep pace with international developments and join world countries in their march to achieve dignity for all humanity.

 

"This underlines the need to extend a helping hand to build a unified Iraq that is able to achieve prosperity to its people," he added.

The prime minister affirmed that contribution to the reconstruction process in Iraq is a Jordanian priority to which we provide all facilities, services and expertise that would contribute to achieving security and stability in Iraq, its people, the region and the world.
