Algerian foreign minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem and his Jordanian counterpart Abdel-Ilah Khatib signed Sunday in Algiers an agreement on forging a mechanism of bilateral political consultation and dialogue, reported the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA). The two ministers said the agreement came as a result of convergent viewpoints of the two countries' leaderships.
The agreement was signed at the end of a three-day visit by the Jordanian minister who met president Abdelaziz Bouteflika and prime minister Ali bin Flis, said KUNA.
Jordan’s exports to Algeria reached a total of JD12.1 million (approximately $10.9m) in 2000, whereas the kingdom’s imports from Algeria stood at JD1.2 million ($1.4), said the agency -- Albawaba.com
