Israeli forces imposed a tight curfew on the West Bank village of Hussan, west of Bethlehem and stormed several neighborhoods of the city on Tuesday, according to WAFA news agency.
Elsewhere, at least three Palestinian students from Al Najah university have been arrested by Israeli occupying forces in the West Bank city of Nablus, after a contingent of Israeli soldiers, backed by armored vehicles, stormed the city early on Tuesday and blockaded a Palestinian Authority building.
Mohammad Sawafqa, Mohammad Alkilani and Anas Sondak, have been identified by local Palestinian sources in Nablus as the detainees. The said three were arrested after an Israeli soldiers broke into the premises of the Palestinian Ministry of Waqf and Religious Affairs in Nablus, where the students’ apartment is, the sources said.
In the meantime, Israel's director of Military Intelligence, Major General Aharon Ze'evi also Tuesday, warned lawmakers during a meeting of the Parliament's foreign affairs and defense committee that the Palestinians would interpret Prime Minister Sharon's plan to "relocate" 17 settlements in the Gaza Strip as a "victory for terrorism."
Ze'evi added it would also encourage the Palestinians to step up what he described as "terrorist attacks." (Albawaba.com)
